In the heart of the beautiful Garden Route in Plettenberg Bay, Hillcrest Lodge Tents are pleased to offer you our very own unique and exclusive tented accommodation.
Each of our two tents are simply and stylishly furnished, and offer you a wonderfully rustic alternative to the usual accommodation options, and the perfect haven in which to relax and unwind.
Nelanga
Perfectly set up with a King size bed and two bunks.
Each tent has a luxury bathroom, with twin sinks, a large bath and for a truly South African bush feel, an outdoor shower – the perfect way place to start, refresh or end your day.
Nelanga also has a ramp to allow easier access for wheelchair/disability guests.
Sandstone
Boasts a large king size bed with two bunks, perfect for the family.
Bed linen, towels and tea and coffee making facilities are also provided in each tent for your comfort.
Each tent offers it’s own deck overlooking the enchanting Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains to the front, with a seaview to the back.
Sitting nicely half way along the Garden Route, we are an easy driving distance from most towns on the coast, being six hours from Cape Town in one direction, and only three hours from Port Elizabeth the other way. We are also close to all activities in the area, with restaurants and shops and all beaches being only a 5-10 minute drive.
Whilst the tents are not set up for cooking, we have a Lapa with two braai pits, a large fridge and a two plate gas cooker, for when the weather isn’t quite up to a braai!
For the kids, we also have a playground including a jungle gym, swings and a sand pit.

“Unique very special place, quiet and spacious which is just what we were looking for. Location just a few minutes drive to Robberg and everything you need. Love the accomodation, spotlessly clean and the outdoor shower is amazing. Fire pit and braai area ideal and a perfect spot to end the day and watch the sunset. Lovely hosts who give you privacy but always available should you have any questions, not that we had any as everything was super easy and seamless. Thank you for everything and will be back!”

“The tent was clean and beautifully furnished, the bathroom is stunning. The beds were comfy and our kids loved the bunk beds. It felt like home away from home. Kid friendly, our kids loved running and playing outside. Nice a spacious outside area too:) It had everything we needed. A bar fridge and coffee facilities inside the tent and a outside communal kitchen area next to the braai area and kids play area. Plenty space to park your car next to the tent.
